Starting with the brand name, the Sunboy Gift Box features a vivid and well-known logo that immediately catches the eye. The packaging picture, created in an oil painting style, depicts the Sunboys running happily in the sunflower field, giving the brand a personalized and spirited identity. The overall design exudes a sense of relaxation, happiness, affection, and righteousness.
One of the key strengths of this design is its functional application. The gift box is easy to assemble and separate, saving time and energy for consumers. By buckling each other, the outer packaging forms a modular assembly, allowing for one-layer, two-layer, or three-layer configurations. This not only provides a large exposed area for the product but also reduces material costs.
The Sunboy Gift Box measures 443mm in width, 115mm in depth, and 304mm in height, offering ample space for sunflower seeds or other snack foods. Its unique properties and redefined opening structure make it a standout choice for seed packaging.
Designed in Shenzhen and produced in Bayannaoer, Neimenggu, the Sunboy Gift Box is the result of a two-month-long project. The design team, led by Tiger Pan, included creative director Tiger Pan, graphic designer Jingwen Xiang, illustrator Ping Yi, image editor Yuling Zhu, technical director Zhangkun Xie, and project manager Lei Peng.
One of the main challenges faced during the design process was the selection of the color yellow. With many different colors used in FMCG product packaging, it was crucial to create a design that would stand out. However, with the illustration of sunflowers and the use of a bright yellow color, the Sunboy Gift Box proves to be an eye-catching and visually appealing choice.
The Sunboy Gift Box not only showcases a visually striking design but also offers a functional and innovative solution for seed packaging. Its unique opening structure, personalized branding, and easy assembly make it a standout choice for consumers looking for a distinctive and enjoyable packaging experience.
With its Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design, the Sunboy Gift Box has been recognized for its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach. This award highlights its ability to meet professional and industrial requirements while providing fulfillment and positive feelings to consumers.
