Infinix Hot 20S Design Team Unveils Sun and Moon Rotation Light Change Technology

The Hot 20S is not your average smartphone. Its design draws inspiration from the rotation of the sun and moon, creating an immersive experience for the user. The main body of the product showcases large body characters combined with the corresponding variations of the sun and the moon, resulting in a visually appealing and interactive design.

What sets the Hot 20S apart is its unique sun and moon rotation light change technology. This feature allows the phone to display a blue-violet effect when exposed to UV light during the day and a blue-green luminous effect in the dark. This zero power consumption feature provides users with an unexpected human-computer interaction experience, adding fun and memorable elements to the phone.

The realization of this design required 20 processing steps with nanometer-level accuracy. After careful polishing and technical color mixing, the desired effect was achieved. The technology applied to the back cover of the phone enables color change in three different environments: outdoor, indoor, and night, reflecting the emotional linkage between smartphones and people.

Despite the challenges faced during the design process, including finding the perfect balance between photochromic and luminescent ink and ensuring a rapid color change and disappearance effect, the team managed to overcome these obstacles. The result is a smartphone that not only guides the user in the dark but also brings more surprises with its color changes.

The Hot 20S measures 168.65mm in length, 76.65mm in width, and 8.47mm in thickness. This project, which started in June 2022 in Shenzhen, China, was completed in October 2022. The design research behind this innovative smartphone breaks through the single dimension, realizing a new presentation in the dark and day from multidimensional.

In recognition of its outstanding design and innovation, the Hot 20S was awarded Silver in the A' Design Quality and Innovation Award in 2023. This award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. The Hot 20S is indeed a testament to the Infinix Hot 20S Design Team's commitment to pushing the boundaries of smartphone design.
