Creating a Cozy Atmosphere with Daylight and Natural Colors

Space is a container for daylight: The public and private areas of Timeless are bathed in natural light, thanks to the abundance of floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies. To enhance the effect of natural lighting, the public area is adorned in Kashmir white, a color with a lustrous surface that creates a cozy atmosphere. The designer also incorporates light brown and wood grain elements to highlight details and add warmth to the space, making it feel like a container for daylight.

Preserving comfortable daylight: The core of the space in Timeless is intentionally designed not to block the natural light coming from three sides. This ensures that the advantage of lighting is retained throughout the residence, creating a bright and inviting ambiance.

Materials and color scheme: The building materials used in Timeless include artistic coating, laminate flooring, wooden louvers, bamboo charcoal paint, glass, ironwork, and system cabinets. The color scheme is meticulously planned, with Kashmir white as the base color and light gray framing the ceiling. Different colors with the same tone are strategically placed to add a misty filter effect to the space. Light brown and wood grain elements are used to shape the details and create a sense of warmth.

Specifications and layout: Timeless spans 165.2 square meters and features 4 rooms, a living room, and a dining room. The layout is designed in a cross shape, with the entrance double doors symbolizing the symmetry of the layout. The public area is located in the center, while the private areas are situated on the left and right sides. The foyer incorporates chased iron and glass partitions, creating layers of light and shadow. The open plan allows each space to enjoy ample natural lighting.

Timeless interaction: Under the delicate color scheme, Timeless creates a sense of comfort that meets the client's expectations. The design aims to purify the minds, bodies, and souls of its occupants by providing a space free from distractions and filled with the purity of natural light.

Location and timeframe: Timeless was completed in September 2022 in Taiwan, showcasing the designer's expertise in creating a modern and light-filled residence.

Design research and challenges: The design of Timeless was inspired by the desire to maximize daylight and window views. The challenge was to create an interior design that would not be overpowered by the outdoor view. The designer successfully overcame this challenge by using different shades of color to create a low-saturation visual effect, allowing daylight and the mountain view to take center stage.

Design notes: Timeless takes advantage of daylight to create a delicate expression of color. The private area seamlessly connects with the outdoors through the use of natural colors, while the public area incorporates wood grain elements to enhance warmth. Grilles and moru glass bring rhythm to the space, and wooden louvers adjust the light, creating a dynamic atmosphere that changes with the angle of sunlight. In this space, daylight and family spend countless seasons together.

Timeless has been recognized for its exceptional design and was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2023 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. Timeless stands out for its integration of industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and contribution to a better world.
