Upon entering 'Wonderful Time', one is greeted by an independent porch area, a clever design choice that sets the tone for the rest of the home. The adjacent storage room is seamlessly integrated through an inclined plane, guiding the occupant's journey into the heart of the apartment. The open-plan layout ensures that natural light floods the public areas, enhancing the milk tea-colored walls, white cabinetry, and glass doors that together create a light, airy atmosphere.

The realization of such a design within a confined space is a noteworthy accomplishment. Hsieh employed strategic elements like the inclined storage room, a polygonal dining area wall, and a multifunctional sleeping seat to ensure a fluid and unobstructed flow throughout the apartment. The high-capacity ceiling glass cabinet, positioned to the left of the TV wall, delineates the guest and dining areas while maintaining the openness of the living room.

Functionality is not sacrificed for form in 'Wonderful Time'. The dining and living rooms are interconnected, fostering a transparent and luminous public area that serves as the family's communal hub. This central space is designed to encourage visual interaction and strengthen emotional bonds among family members, highlighting the importance of shared experiences in the home.

The design's technical specifications are meticulously considered, with the 102 sqm space optimized for both style and utility. The use of system board for the cabinetry, complemented by wood accents and a consistent color palette, achieves a cohesive American style that is both harmonious and cost-effective. Overcoming the challenge of incorporating a bathtub and shower in the master bedroom bathroom without altering the existing structure showcases Hsieh's ingenuity and attention to detail.
