Jump Showroom: A Complex Network of Design and Innovation

A Futuristic Approach to Showroom Design

Sports materials are produced all over the world and are made available to consumers through a complex marketing and logistics network. Ayhan Guneri, a renowned designer, has taken inspiration from this network to create the Jump Showroom, a unique and futuristic space that showcases the brand's collection.

The Jump Showroom, designed by Ayhan Guneri, is the second showroom in the Jump Showroom complex. It is built on the theme of a complex network, reflecting the intricate process of bringing sports materials to consumers. The showroom features stainless steel elements that evoke the manufacturing process, using CNC cutting for precision. The furniture in the showroom gives the impression of being appliqued on the location, creating a futuristic and dynamic atmosphere.

The base material chosen for the showroom is concrete, which adds to the overall futuristic aesthetic. Self-leveling concrete slabs are used on the walls and floors, replacing traditional concrete slabs. Structural iron is integrated into the space, with shelves drilled into the walls, further enhancing the theme of the network. Logos, slogans, and shapes are applied to the floor covering using the masking method, adding visual interest to the space.

The Jump Showroom spans an area of 620 square meters, with a height of 120 meters. It is a spacious and immersive environment that engages customers and encourages them to explore and purchase shoes. The adaptation of the space and the shoes creates a unique interaction between customers and the showroom.

The project took six months to complete and was located in Istanbul. Throughout the design process, extensive research was conducted on the interaction between nature and humans, as well as the physical conditions of the space. Material selection and production methods were carefully considered to bring the designer's vision to life. The design went through conceptualization, sketching, and CAD modeling before being realized.

The Jump Showroom project faced several challenges, including the need to work during the day while the company's other floors were operational. Construction noise, dust, and the presence of workers made it necessary to work mostly at night. Additionally, non-standard manufacturing techniques were employed, adding complexity to the project.

The Jump Showroom has received recognition for its innovative design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2014 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This award recognizes designs that are well-designed, practical, and innovative, meeting professional and industrial requirements. The Jump Showroom stands out for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
