Fly: A Stylish and Modern Design for Light Alcoholic Beverages

Creating a Memorable Design for the Young Generation

Valerii Sumilov's Fly design aims to captivate the young generation with its stylish and modern approach. The design, which reflects the product's name in a delicate way, sets itself apart from competitors in the light alcoholic beverage market.

Valerii Sumilov, the designer behind the Fly project, was inspired by the idea of creating a design that would resonate with the young generation. The goal was to communicate with the target audience using their language, addressing their daily needs. The design needed to be attractive and modern, ensuring that the client's product could successfully compete in the market.

One of the unique features of the Fly design is the eye-stopper element. This element not only makes the product stand out on the shelf but also increases brand recognition and consumer loyalty. By creating a memorable brand, Fly establishes itself as a new player in the market.

The realization of the design involved the use of transparent self-adhesive film, giving the impression that the design was applied directly to the bottle. Special paints, such as dense matte white, were used to achieve a clear and bright white color. Post-printing techniques, including tactile varnish, were also employed to enhance the design.

The label's height is 78 mm, and the width is 64 mm. The bottle cap was personalized with the brand's logo and a color scheme that corresponds to the label. These details add to the overall appeal of the design.

Fly is a light alcoholic beverage that can be found in retail stores and supermarket chains. The design's primary mission is to attract buyers' attention and entice them to choose Fly from the shelf.

The Fly project began in October 2013 and was completed in December 2013. The product became available on the shelves in Moldova in January 2014.

Extensive research was conducted to ensure the success of the project. This included studying the brief and understanding the client's marketing tasks, assessing the competition, and empathizing with the target audience. The development phase involved sketching numerous concepts and refining the chosen design. Files were prepared for printing, and author supervision was carried out during the printing process to ensure the highest quality.

One of the main challenges faced during the project was finding a unique and captivating concept that would resonate with the product's consumer base. The designer had to navigate the approval process with a conservative artistic council, explaining the ideas behind each concept.

The Fly design by Valerii Sumilov has received recognition for its excellence and innovation. It was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Food, Beverage, and Culinary Arts category in 2014. This prestigious award acknowledges the design's technical characteristics, artistic skill, and ability to evoke positive emotions.
