Delband Pendant: A Symbol of Motherly Love

The Delband pendant is a truly unique piece of jewelry that celebrates the special relationship between a mother and child. Inspired by the first sound a baby hears in the womb - their mother's heartbeat - this pendant is a testament to the love and support that a mother provides.

Designed as a gift for both mother and child, the Delband pendant consists of two hearts connected by a chain that crosses both. The smaller heart represents the child's heart, while the larger heart symbolizes the mother's heart. This design allows the pendant to be used as two independent pieces, with the child's heart pendant being kept by the mother until the child grows up.

What sets the Delband pendant apart is not only its symbolic meaning but also its exquisite craftsmanship. The pendant is made using advanced technology, with the initial design created using Rhino and Matrix CAD modeling software. The 3D model is then printed using a CPX printing machine. The final product is crafted from 18k yellow gold using the lost wax casting method, with a crystal piece installed on the smaller heart for added elegance.

The Delband pendant comes in two sizes. The smaller pendant measures 11mm in width and 14mm in height, weighing 1.5 grams. The crystal on this pendant measures 10mm x 10mm. The larger pendant measures 32mm in width and 35mm in height, weighing 7.5 grams.

One of the unique features of the Delband pendant is its versatility in terms of chain selection. The mother's heart pendant is best paired with a long chain, allowing the chain to be passed through the pendant in different ways. On the other hand, the baby's heart pendant can be used with a short chain. The combination of the two pendants can be worn with any chain, depending on the wearer's preference.

The Delband pendant was first conceptualized in February 2013 and produced in March 2013 in Tehran. It has since been redesigned and edited, with a solo exhibition showcasing the design held in February 2014. The pendant has received recognition for its exceptional design, winning the Silver A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category in 2015.
