The Tsunagaru Calendar is a physical embodiment of NTT East's corporate slogan, "Strengthen the Connection." It consists of 12 calendar pages that are bound together by a rubber cord, creating a visual connection. The graphic designs at either end of the cord further enhance the message of connection and unity.
What sets this calendar apart is its ability to make the concept of connection visible. By physically pulling out a past calendar sheet from the cord and moving it to the back, users actively participate in the act of connecting. This interactive feature adds a sense of engagement and reinforces the calendar's message.
The Tsunagaru Calendar was realized through the use of advanced printing and processing technologies available in Japan. The meticulous attention to detail and high-quality manufacturing ensure that the calendar is not only visually appealing but also durable.
Measuring 180mm in width, 140mm in height, and 85mm in depth, the Tsunagaru Calendar is a compact and practical design that can be easily displayed on a desk or hung on a wall.
NTT EAST 2015 Calendar was launched in January 2015, and it has received recognition for its innovative design. The Tsunagaru Calendar won the Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2015. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, technical skills, and contribute to improving the quality of life.
The Tsunagaru Calendar is not just a functional tool for keeping track of dates; it is a symbol of connection and unity. By incorporating design elements that promote engagement and interaction, NTT East has created a calendar that goes beyond its primary purpose and becomes a meaningful piece of art.
