Infinity: A Unique Twist on the Side Table

The Infinity side table, designed by Tulin Atamer Karaagac, takes its inspiration from the timeless symbol of infinity. With its shape resembling a sideways figure eight, the table embodies the concept of endless continuity and brings a touch of sophistication to any living space.

What sets the Infinity side table apart is its use of Corian, a versatile material that allows for the creation of intricate designs. Unlike other materials, Corian makes it possible to produce the table with its unique twists and turns, resulting in a visually striking piece.

The table comes in two versions: one with a white top and a black bottom, and the other with a black top and a white bottom. This clever design allows for a quick transformation by simply turning the table upside down. Additionally, there are four additional color options available, including yellow, magenta, green, and blue, for those looking to add a pop of color to their space.

Measuring 40cm in width, 40cm in depth, and 55cm in height, the Infinity side table is the perfect size to complement a sofa or lounge chair. Its unique shape not only adds a touch of elegance but also provides easy access to items placed on the table.

Creating the Infinity side table was not without its challenges. The designer had to carefully consider the choice of materials and ensure that the form was both feasible and visually appealing. Originally designed as a single-color piece, it was later modified to incorporate the striking contrast of black and white, further emphasizing the shape of the infinity symbol.

The Infinity side table was recognized for its exceptional design and creativity, earning the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2015. This award is bestowed upon designs that showcase outstanding technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
