The traditional Chinese character for orchid is 蘭, which is composed by 'gate' 门 and 'orchid' 兰. The 2015 Orchid Expo, the most prestigious orchid festival worldwide, provided the perfect opportunity for Dongdao Creative Branding Group to showcase their design prowess. Their logo design for the event is a testament to their ability to seamlessly blend typography, calligraphy, and drawing. By enhancing the traditional Chinese character for orchid, Dongdao Creative Branding Group has created a logo that exudes a poetic atmosphere and tells a captivating story.

The logo design utilizes variant Hanzi, the most complex form of Chinese characters, to best portray the beauty of the flower. This choice of typography adds depth and meaning to the design.

The project, which started in 2014 in Beijing, was completed in May 2015, just in time for the fourth annual Orchid Expo in September 2015.
