ABLV Bank: A Manifestation of Vision and Values

An Elite Interior Design for Mortgage Loans Service Department

The interior design of ABLV Bank's Mortgage Loans Service Department in Riga, Latvia, reflects the bank's vision and values, creating a functional and emotionally open space. With world-class design brands, natural materials, and original artworks, this design exudes an atmosphere akin to an exclusive club.

The ABLV Bank Mortgage Loans Service Department stands as a testament to the bank's philosophy and its commitment to every detail. Designed by Inguna Elere of Design studio H2E, this interior design solution was inspired by the bank's attitude towards the significance of each element and extensive research on the premises and its users.

What sets this design apart is its ability to balance functional discreetness with emotional openness. The use of natural materials, such as Latvian oak, and the play of local lighting create a warm and inviting ambiance. High-quality carpentry work and world-class design brands further enhance the bank's vision and values.

Unlike traditional corporate colors, the design incorporates clean and laconic colors mixed with contrastive tones. Original artworks from the bank's art collection add a touch of sophistication. The ergonomic layout, acoustic considerations, and strategic lighting ensure the needs of both employees and clients are met, promoting effortless operation.

The ABLV Bank Mortgage Loans Service Department spans two floors, covering a total area of 693 m2. On the ground floor, employees interact with visitors in six client meeting rooms, each with its own visual code. The first floor, dedicated solely to employees, features an open space office concept, maximizing efficiency in the flow of clients and employees.

The project, which commenced in January 2013 and concluded in March 2014, was a result of extensive research. The design team examined the premises, conducted interviews with employees and clients, and tested various furniture and materials. This thorough approach ensured that the design not only met the bank's requirements but also created an environment that embraced the emotions and needs of its users.

Inguna Elere and Design studio H2E successfully overcame several challenges during the design process. They had to strike a delicate balance between functional discreetness and emotional openness, particularly in relation to acoustics. Additionally, they had to create an environment that communicated the transparency of the bank's operation style through every detail of the interior design.

The ABLV Bank Mortgage Loans Service Department design has received recognition for its excellence. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2016. This prestigious award honors designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.

ABLV Bank's Mortgage Loans Service Department is not just a functional space; it is a manifestation of the bank's vision and values. With its unique blend of art, design, and natural materials, this interior design creates an atmosphere that makes every client feel special, while also showcasing the transparent work of the bank.
