Sirma Schorle: A Cool and Stylish Beverage Bottle Design

An Innovative Solution for Young Consumers

Sirma Schorle, a delicious mix of natural sparkling water and intense fruit juice, offers a healthy alternative to alcoholic drinks, especially for the younger generation. Recognizing that young people consider the bottle they hold as a complementary accessory to their style, designer Musa Çelik has created a cool and stylish design for Sirma Schorle.

A standout feature of the Sirma Schorle bottle is its unique finger-shaped holding details, setting it apart from its competitors. These details not only differentiate the design but also enhance its ergonomics and stylish look. The cool tone of the bottle is further reinforced by the use of black color, giving it a modern and edgy aesthetic.

Unlike traditional labeling methods, the graphics on the Sirma Schorle bottle are created using screen printing, reducing production costs. The luminescent fruit illustrations not only increase the visual appeal of the bottle but also allude to the intense fruit taste of the beverage.

The bottle itself is made of glass, providing a premium feel and ensuring the preservation of the beverage's quality. The production technology for the graphics is serigraphy, a technique that allows for precise and vibrant prints.

With a weight of 150g for the bottle and 250g for the content, the Sirma Schorle bottle has a total weight of 400g, making it lightweight and easy to carry.

The Sirma Schorle bottle is designed to be user-friendly. The finger-shaped details allow for a comfortable grip, while the black color and luminescent visuals create a stylish and cool look that resonates with the target audience.

The design project for Sirma Schorle began in September 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey, and was completed in December 2015. During the research phase, extensive online research was conducted to gather examples of beverage packaging and different bottle designs. This research provided valuable insights into the latest trends in bottle design and marketing, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the category.

One of the main challenges of the project was to create a bottle that would appeal to the younger generation, who view the packages they hold as an extension of their personal style. This challenge was successfully overcome by designing an eye-catching and cool bottle that captures the attention of young consumers.

The Sirma Schorle bottle, designed by Musa Çelik, has received recognition for its excellence. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2016. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Sirma Schorle bottle stands out for its integration of industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and its contribution to a better world.
