Azura: Redefining 3D Branding with Dongdao

Creating a Unique, Interactive Logo for a High-Tech 3D Printing Company

The inspiration for this design stemmed from the observation that brand images in the domestic and overseas 3D industries often lack personality and are quite similar. In response to this, Dongdao proposed a unique concept for Azura - 'Living your creative life with 3D'. This concept led to the creation of a symbolized three-dimensional logo that is variable and capable of presenting with different materials and colors. Uniquely, the logo can be printed out using 3D technology, further emphasizing Azura's commitment to this innovative field.

What sets Azura apart from other brands is its focus on advocating a lifestyle that is more lively, convenient, and rapid. This ethos is reflected in the logo's design, which is not just a static image but a symbol that can be applied to many interesting life scenes. This generates a close interaction and connection between Azura and daily life, inspiring the imagination and creativity of the brand.

The realization of this design was not without its challenges. The similarity of brand images in the 3D industry posed a significant obstacle. The design project, which started in January 2016 in Shanghai, was completed by March of the same year. The Dongdao Design Team, responsible for the design, was awarded Silver in A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award in 2017 for their work. This prestigious award is given to designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
