Golden Ho's PONE Nest Aspiration: A Marvel of Design and Innovation

Experience Pavilion Redefines Space and Interaction in 2016 Guangzhou Design Week

Golden Ho's PONE Nest Aspiration, an Experience Pavilion at the 2016 Guangzhou Design Week, is a unique design that redefines traditional space limitations and explores new connections between individuals. Inspired by the natural structure of honeycombs, this innovative design has earned the prestigious Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2017.

The PONE Nest Aspiration draws its inspiration from the nature of honeycomb construction. The design attempts to restore the wall definition, creating a solid wall between spaces through a unique composition. The traditional space limitations are deliberately broken, resulting in an incomplete, non-linear wall that redefines the concept of a building's load-bearing space.

The design's unique properties lie in its attempt to rediscover new connections between individuals. It consists of four curved metal mesh structures as carriers, with 59,000 sheets of A4 black cardboard and 89,000 pieces of white wax paper inserted into the curved metal mesh wall. This structure was created by 100 persons, making the construction process a show of Behavior Art.

The PONE Nest Aspiration covers an area of 108 square meters, with dimensions of 9000mm in width, 12000mm in length, and 5500mm in height. The design uses contrasting black and white colors to produce an elastic rhythm, stimulating a sense of touch and vision. The interactive behavior of the visitors is unlimited, making the exhibition hall full of vitality.

The design was completed in December 2016 at the Poly World Trade Centre in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, People’s Republic of China. The design team included Golden Ho, Kelly Liu, and Yueliu Hua. The design process involved overcoming creative, technical, and research challenges to create a unique space that changes with the body of different individuals.

The PONE Nest Aspiration is a testament to Golden Ho's innovative design approach and commitment to creating unique spaces that stimulate interaction and redefine traditional space limitations. The design's award-winning status is a testament to its exceptional quality and innovative approach.
