DuePiùTre – Più Che Hamburger: A Visual Identity Design

Uniquely Reflecting Italian Taste and Bistrot Values

DuePiùTre – Più Che Hamburger, designed by Laura Ferrario, is a visual identity that perfectly captures the essence of a small Italian bistrot offering more than just hamburgers. With its unique design elements and attention to detail, this project stands out in the world of branding and design.

DuePiùTre is not your average hamburger joint. It takes traditional favorites like pastrami and beer can chicken and adds a fresh and genuine Italian twist. The design of this visual identity reflects the bistro's commitment to quality and authenticity.

The inspiration for the design came from the idea of a reliable and easygoing dog with a well-defined personality, mirroring the values of the bistrot. The choice of the bulldog as the symbol was not only because it was the mascot of the United States Navy during World War I, but also because it is the beloved pet of one of the bistrot's partners.

The design project was handled comprehensively, covering everything from the brand to the signage, website, social networks, wallpaper, and interior decor. This holistic approach ensures a cohesive and immersive experience for customers, both online and offline.

The visual identity design incorporates a chef's hat for the bulldog, emphasizing the restaurant's focus on food. The use of yellow and black, the most powerful color combination, adds a touch of vibrancy and dynamism to the brand. Yellow, symbolizing the sun, joy, and creativity, perfectly complements the bistro's lively atmosphere.

The realization of the design was guided by the bistrot's commitment to healthy and environmentally friendly food. Natural materials such as wood, iron, paper, and recycled cardboard were used to create a warm and inviting ambiance.

One of the challenges faced during the design process was finding a solution for the flowers in the vases, as there was limited light and they kept drying out. The creative team came up with an innovative solution by creating photographic postcards of flowers and attaching them to sticks, which were then planted in clay pots. This resulted in an imaginative and low-maintenance garden.

DuePiùTre – Più Che Hamburger's visual identity design has received recognition for its excellence. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2017 in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, technical skill, and a commitment to improving quality of life.

With its unique concept and attention to detail, DuePiùTre – Più Che Hamburger's visual identity design sets a new standard in the world of branding and design. It successfully captures the essence of the bistro and its offerings, reflecting the values of Italian taste and bistrot culture.
