Lilium Center: A Symbol of Purity and Freedom

Unveiling a Unique Mixed-Use Design by Saber Sajadi

Located in the picturesque Anzali Free Zone in northern Iran, the Lilium Center occupies a prime spot between the Albors Mountains and the Caspian Sea. Spanning over four hectares of land, this project offers a unique blend of retail, entertainment, and residential spaces, making it a true lifestyle destination.

The Lilium Center boasts a total of 51,000 square meters of retail and facility areas, including cinemas, shops, hypermarkets, a theater and opera saloon, showrooms, and restaurants. Additionally, it features 200,000 square meters of residential and hotel spaces, providing a luxurious and comfortable living experience for its residents and guests. With 2,400 parking stalls, convenience is at the forefront of this design.

What sets the Lilium Center apart is its distinctive architectural form, inspired by the Lilium flower. The building's shape evokes a sense of rising and movement, reminiscent of a rice seed breaking through its skin or a seagull preparing to take flight. From the top floors, one can even feel as if they are floating on lotus leaves. This unique design not only captivates the eye but also establishes an emotional connection with its visitors.

Functionality is also a key aspect of the Lilium Center's design. The east and west wings, comprising 52 floors, are dedicated to residential and hotel use, offering breathtaking views of the sea. The central tower houses a 12-floor mall, complete with restaurants and cinemas, providing a vibrant and dynamic shopping experience. The separation of entrances and drop-off points for each wing ensures efficient traffic management, enhancing the overall experience for visitors.

Utilizing advanced architectural design factors, the Lilium Center represents the identity of its location. The building's form not only serves an aesthetic purpose but also incorporates specific functions. The shape of the building harnesses the potential wind power from the sea, allowing for natural air ventilation within the structure. This sustainable approach aligns with the Lilium Center's commitment to environmental consciousness.

The realization of the Lilium Center was made possible through the use of cutting-edge architectural software, including Revit, Rhino+Grasshopper, 3D Max, CAD, and Photoshop. This technology enabled the design team to bring their vision to life and create a truly remarkable structure.

The Lilium Center project began in late 2015, with architectural and structural work commencing in early 2016. Construction started in September of the same year and continues to this day. The dedication and expertise of the design team, which includes Saber Sajadi, Ray Design Center, and Elite Matrix Design Studio, have made this ambitious project a reality.

The Lilium Center has garnered recognition and acclaim, receiving the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2017. This accolade is a testament to the project's outstanding creativity and ingenuity, showcasing its ability to merge art, science, design, and technology seamlessly.
