The inspiration for "Darkness To Go" came from a film about a color-blind person who regained their ability to see color. The joy and emotional impact of this transformation are reflected in the animation's bold, distinctive scenes. Cliffs Studio's goal was to evoke the beauty of brightness and color, hoping that the patient could watch the animation after his recovery and experience the same joy.
Cliffs Studio's unique approach to the project sets it apart from other animations. The team decided to use a light, rhythmic style with bright colors to create a stronger visual impulse and engage the audience. This approach is a departure from the typical dark atmosphere of advertisements for Orbis, a charity dedicated to helping patients with eye diseases.
The animation was created using a combination of dynamics, motion graphics, and animation to bring vitality and fluency to the video. The team also used fast, rhythmic beat music to capture the audience's attention and raise awareness of people with eye diseases. The technical specifications of the design include a 1080P HD 16:9 1920X1080 resolution, and the software used were Maya and After Effect.
The project was a significant challenge due to its non-profit nature and limited funding. The team had to put all their work force to finish the project in a short time. The toughest part was the scene production, as they had to balance the variety of design elements and the aesthetics of the project. Despite these challenges, the team's efforts paid off, resulting in a successful and impactful animation.
"Darkness To Go" is a testament to the power of design and animation to tell compelling stories and evoke strong emotions. It serves as an inspiration for designers and animators worldwide, demonstrating how creativity and innovation can transform lives and bring joy to those who need it most.
