When it comes to weddings, every detail matters. From the venue to the decorations, couples strive to create a memorable experience for themselves and their guests. One often overlooked aspect is the welcome board, also known as the invitation poster, which sets the tone for the entire event. Studio-Takeuma understands the importance of this element and has designed a wedding poster that not only invites guests but also becomes a cherished piece of art in the newlyweds' home.
The inspiration for Studio-Takeuma's wedding poster comes from the couple themselves, as well as the season and location of the wedding. The designers aim to capture the solemnity and significance of the occasion while infusing it with elements of luck and charm. The result is a graphic design masterpiece that reflects the couple's unique love story.
What sets Studio-Takeuma's wedding posters apart is their attention to detail and the use of traditional Japanese celebratory colors. The designers utilize a Wacom LCD tablet, MediBang paint, and Photoshop to create harmonious illustrations and lettering. The preliminary designs focus on stability, hope, and majesty, with red being a prominent color choice. Red and white are considered celebratory colors in Japan, symbolizing joy and purity.
The wedding posters are available in a standard size of 200mm x 400mm, with a frame measuring 458mm x 20mm x 550mm. The dimensions are carefully chosen to ensure that the poster fits perfectly in the couple's home, without being too large or too small. Studio-Takeuma's designers have conducted extensive research to determine the ideal size based on Japanese housing standards and wedding venue requirements.
Creating the perfect wedding poster is a collaborative process between Studio-Takeuma and the couple. The designers take into account the couple's preferences, favorite things, and any specific requirements they may have. If the couple desires a portrait-style poster, their photographs are used as a reference, capturing not only their faces but also their height balance, wedding outfits, and hairstyles. Studio-Takeuma provides the couple with 2 or 3 image sketches to choose from, allowing for customization and personalization.
Since its inception in 2006, Studio-Takeuma has created numerous wedding posters, each one a testament to their dedication and creativity. All posters are meticulously drawn in their studio in Kyoto, ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. In 2017 alone, Studio-Takeuma crafted 12 unique wedding posters, each one tailored to the couple's individual style and preferences.
Studio-Takeuma's wedding posters have gained recognition and acclaim in the design community. In 2018, their exceptional work was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category. This prestigious award recognizes designs that exemplify creativity, resourcefulness, and technical expertise. Studio-Takeuma's wedding posters not only enhance the aesthetics of a wedding celebration but also contribute to the overall quality of life for the newlyweds.
Studio-Takeuma's wedding posters are not just invitations; they are works of art that symbolize the beginning of a beautiful journey. With their unique blend of tradition and innovation, these posters capture the essence of love, celebration, and joy. As couples embark on their new chapter, Studio-Takeuma's wedding posters serve as a reminder of the special day and the happiness that awaits them in their daily lives.
