What sets the Avic City of Technology apart is its connection to China's aviation industry. As a brand belonging to this industry, it incorporates the wing form into its arrow-like shape, symbolizing progress and direction. The circular design, reminiscent of ancient Chinese courtyards, adds a touch of elegance and harmony to the overall aesthetic.
The realization of this design posed a challenge due to the complexity of the logo's intricate lines. To overcome this, experienced sculptors were brought in to optimize the carving process, ensuring the faithful reproduction of the logo's original aesthetic. The result is a stunning piece that captures the essence of the brand and its aviation heritage.
With dimensions of 5000mm in height, 980mm in width, and 250mm in thickness, the Avic City of Technology stands tall and commands attention. Its presence is not only visually striking but also functional, serving as a guide for visitors and creating a memorable experience.
Located in Nanjing, China, the design project began in September 2016 and was completed in January 2017. Throughout the process, extensive research was conducted to incorporate elements of the city's rich history, such as the Ming city wall, the presidential palace, and jiangnan gardens. By cleverly converging these cultural references with the marking system, the Avic City of Technology becomes a testament to the region's heritage.
The Avic City of Technology has been recognized for its excellence and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2018 for its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach. This prestigious award acknowledges the integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
Overall, the Avic City of Technology is a remarkable guidance system that combines tradition, innovation, and the spirit of China's aviation industry. Its unique design and attention to detail make it a standout piece, providing a luxurious and memorable experience for visitors.
