At Homemade Cafe, the emphasis is on celebrating the best homemade food that Macrocenter supplies while providing a meeting spot for the community. The cafe offers a self-service food cart, allowing customers to quickly order and pay for their meals. Guests can then enjoy their food at the tables, surrounded by a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The design incorporates natural elements, custom-made furniture, and a modern aesthetic to create a unique and inviting space.

The use of wood in the furniture and ceiling, along with sheet metal and fiber panels on the ceiling, creates a warm and welcoming ambiance. White ceramics on the walls add a touch of elegance, while handmade tiles, concrete, and epoxy materials on the floor provide a stylish and durable foundation. A vertical green wall in the open-air area brings a refreshing touch of nature to the space.

One of the strengths of Homemade Cafe is its seamless integration with the supermarket. Located in a designated area of the mall's parking lot, the cafe was built from scratch, with all the walls, flooring, ceiling, and facade elements carefully crafted to create a cohesive design. Each lighting fixture, table, and hand-knotted carpet was custom-made to ensure a harmonious and high-quality aesthetic throughout the space.

Spanning 200 square meters in the Vadistanbul shopping mall, Homemade Cafe offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere for customers to enjoy their meals. The cafe features 60 square meters of sheet metal panels and fiber panels on the ceiling, 40 square meters of white ceramics on the walls, and 80 square meters of handmade tiles, as well as 120 square meters of concrete and epoxy on the floor. The open-air area boasts an 18 square meter vertical green wall, adding a touch of natural beauty to the space.

Homemade Cafe is not just a snack bar; it is a premium cafe that combines grab-and-go convenience with high-quality design elements. The design team carefully considered the brand's communication language, interior design elements, and the products sold at the supermarket to create a fresh and harmonious design. Through well-structured interviews and observations, they were able to understand the customer profile and behaviors, resulting in a smart design that meets user needs.

The project presented its fair share of challenges, particularly in the limited time available for the production of custom-made materials such as lighting fixtures and tables. The design team also faced the task of selecting the perfect elements, such as carpets and plants, to create the unique and cozy atmosphere that sets Homemade Cafe apart.

Homemade Cafe, with its blend of nature and premium quality, offers a refreshing and inviting space for customers to enjoy homemade food in a relaxed environment. This innovative concept has been recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in 2018, highlighting its outstanding creativity and resourcefulness. The Gravity Design Team has successfully incorporated best practices in art, science, design, and technology, making Homemade Cafe a true testament to the improvement of quality of life.
