The inspiration behind the Feral Horses brand identity stemmed from the client's values and the desire to create a unique, recognizable project in the sector. The brand targets three diverse groups: art enthusiasts, professional traders, and curious achievers. The challenge was to express the business vision of liberating art investment while harmonizing the artistic and financial worlds.
The design process involved participatory planning, a technique that enhances interaction between the designer and the client. This approach ensured a linear project development, shared decision-making, and informed the client about the rules and practices followed by case history. The result was a brand identity that resonated with the client and the target audience.
Technical specifications of the design were meticulously considered. All corporate product supports meet ISO standards. The color palette was initially decided through the Pantone system, then adapted into sRGB for the web and CMYK for print. The fonts used are compatible with both printing and web visualization. The logo and its variants are pixel perfect, ensuring they are always recognizable and distinguishable.
The design process started in Milan in October 2016 and concluded in January 2017. The design research was intense, focusing on representing all the brand's facets in a single pictogram. The logo's creation phase was particularly rigorous, with multiple proposals leading to the final winning design. The result not only satisfied the client but also received several appreciations, aiding the brand in achieving its goals.
The Feral Horses brand identity overcame the challenge of finding the right balance between the art and finance sectors. The brand, composed of a team of young professionals, aimed to showcase their diversity and the innovation of their project. The chosen naming had to be incorporated into a logo that conveyed the seriousness and stability of a company linked to art investment, instilling confidence in investors.
This design was recognized for its innovation and expertise, winning the Silver A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award in 2018. The award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
