Revolutionizing Office Spaces: The ECA Headquarter by GUDC

Creating an Inspiring Work Environment with Unique Material Use

Renowned design team GUDC has transformed the ECA Headquarter into an inspiring workspace that reflects the company's values. The project, which won the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2018, uses unique material properties to create a calm and creative environment.

The ECA Headquarter renovation project was inspired by the concept of a blooming tree, with the work area at the center of the layout. The design team at GUDC aimed to provide functionality, efficiency, and interaction, creating a workspace that truly exemplifies the values of the company.

What sets this design apart is its simple approach of reflecting the nature of the materials used in the space. The client, who values materials and texture in the construction business, was presented with a design that is calm and simple for visitors, while providing an independent and sufficient work area for creative workers. The use of wooden lines, grilles, and columns applied vertically throughout the space adds a warm touch to the main theme of dark stone texture.

The design was realized using retro/industrial symbols. The studio space features a calm tone of stone and ducts, creating the impression of a professional office. The wooden line grilles and columns, applied vertically throughout the space, create a warm touch on the main theme of dark stone texture. The floor plan of the office space is around 400 square meters.

The design team, consisting of David Hsiao and Pallas Wang, worked on the project in Taoyuan, Taiwan. The project reflects the team's belief in the importance of materials and texture in the construction business, and their approach of reflecting the nature of the materials in the space. The result is a calm and simple image for visitors, and an independent and sufficient work area for creative workers.

The ECA Headquarter renovation project by GUDC is a testament to the power of innovative design in creating inspiring work environments. The project's unique use of materials and textures, combined with its functional and efficient layout, make it a deserving winner of the prestigious Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2018. As GUDC continues to push the boundaries of design, the industry eagerly awaits their next project.
