This lawyer office project, designed by Chu-Hsin Tsai, challenges the traditional notion of a cold and impersonal workspace. By incorporating wood as the primary material, the design aims to create a warm and unsophisticated atmosphere that breaks away from the usual sharp and cool aesthetic.
Wood, regarded as an eternal material that is both ancient and modern, brings a unique cultural and poetic vibe to the office. It reduces the cold atmosphere often associated with modern office buildings and urban lines, creating a space that is inviting and comfortable.
One of the standout features of this design is the use of LED thin layers attached to the surface of the glass in the conference room. When a meeting is in progress, the LED thin layer screen turns on and becomes white, making it invisible from the outside. This function also transforms the transparent glass into a whiteboard, providing a versatile and functional space for brainstorming and collaboration.
The project spans a total area of 396 square meters and was completed in January 2018 in Taipei. The design team, led by Chu-Hsin Tsai as the Creative Director, also included Tommy Chen as the Designer and Project Manager.
This innovative lawyer office design has received recognition for its excellence. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2018. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The design is respected for integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings, contributing to a better world.
