Coffee Craft: A Unique and Adaptable Coffee Shop in Beijing

Creating a Mixed-Use Space for Coffee, Art, and Meetings

Located in Beijing, Coffee Craft is a coffee shop like no other. Designed by United Units Architects (UUA), this innovative space breaks the traditional mold of a coffee shop and offers a versatile environment that caters to various needs.

One of the key features of Coffee Craft is its adaptability. The space is divided by eight partition doors and two partition curtains, allowing it to be transformed into five different configurations. This flexibility ensures that the coffee shop can meet different functional requirements, whether it's hosting a large event or creating smaller, more intimate spaces.

The design of Coffee Craft also pays homage to Archigram, a renowned architectural movement. The ceiling panels suspended over the bar counter resemble the iconic Archigram style, adding a touch of artistic flair to the space. Additionally, a capsule-shaped panel, reminiscent of an airship, hangs from the ceiling with a lamp suspended below, symbolizing the cultural facilities within the coffee shop.

Another unique feature of Coffee Craft is the "desert garden" surrounded by four mirrors. This clever design creates the illusion of an infinite space, drawing inspiration from Area 51 within the Nevada desert. It adds an element of intrigue and mystery to the overall ambiance of the coffee shop.

When it comes to the materials used, Coffee Craft showcases a combination of modern elements. Rhombic steel screens adorn one side of each partition door, while interlocking vertical louvers on the opposite side can be opened or closed with ease. The bar counter area features stainless steel and copper metal panels, adding a touch of sophistication and elegance.

Designed with meticulous attention to detail, Coffee Craft offers a unique and adaptable space that goes beyond the traditional coffee shop experience. Its innovative design and versatile configurations make it a perfect destination for coffee lovers, art enthusiasts, and those in need of a creative meeting space.
