Breaking the Boundaries of Traditional Eyewear

The glasses challenge the traditional stereotype of eyewear by incorporating the principles of goggles and mirror materials into their structure. These innovative materials refract the wearer's view from various angles, resulting in a unique and unconventional visual experience. By breaking accustomed viewing behavior, LUO SHUZHEN aims to create a new form of discourse and communication.

The glasses are produced using an integral molding feature, utilizing 3D printed master models and molds for mass production. While the dimensions may vary, the glasses generally measure approximately 20CM*20CM*25CM, with a periscope refractive structure.

When wearing these glasses, wearers can see in different directions, including height, left and right, and even behind them. This eye-angle misalignment creates a new way of communication, allowing the wearer to engage with others in a unique and intriguing manner.

The glasses were created and completed at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in June 2018 as LUO SHUZHEN's graduation project. The designer's extensive research on everyday viewing behavior and experimentation with different materials and structures led to the development of this unconventional eyewear solution in August 2016.

This groundbreaking design has received recognition in the form of the Iron A' Design Award in the Fashion and Travel Accessories category in 2019. The award acknowledges the glasses' well-designed, practical, and innovative nature, meeting professional and industrial requirements. LUO SHUZHEN's creation integrates industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world and providing fulfillment and positive feelings.
