Modern Luxury Apartment

Inside the limited area of the interior, the spatial ratio and circulation planning have been carefully considered to incorporate all living-related functionalities and meet the clients' requests for the number of rooms. The result is a bright and open spatiality that manifests a modern luxury lifestyle.

The design details of the apartment showcase a mosaic of different materials and layering of line work, highlighting the aesthetics of refined craftsmanship. Marble, leather, mirror, and timber flooring have been used to create a luxurious and contrasting ambiance.

One of the design challenges was the utilization ratio and connection of materials, particularly the mirror elements that borrow light and vista into the interior while harmonizing with other materials in unison and contrast.

The apartment spans an area of 83 square meters, and the original elongated floor plan has been reconfigured to create a spatial buffer in the form of an entrance corridor. This corridor seamlessly integrates partitions, cabinet volumes, and walls to provide a visually sharp experience.

Located in Taipei City, Taiwan, the apartment was completed in March 2017. The design concept is based on a pure and elegant white color tone, complemented by mirror materials to enhance the depth of the vista. The lighting design adds warmth and ambiance to the space.

The apartment features public spaces such as a living room, dining area, and kitchen, as well as three bedrooms and a playroom for the clients' toddler. Privacy concerns associated with the full-height window were addressed with the addition of beautiful privacy drapes.

The design of this modern luxury apartment by Kenny Wu has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2019. This award acknowledges the outstanding creativity and ingenuity of the design, which incorporates best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
