Greentown River: A Nordic-Inspired Residential House

An Elegant and Artistic Duplex Apartment Design

This unique project covers a total of 450 square meters and combines the owner's taste and functional needs. The color palette and accessories are carefully chosen to create a cohesive and integrated space. The use of forward-looking design strokes shapes the various spatial organizations, resulting in a modern and sophisticated presentation.

One of the standout features of Greentown River is the use of materials. The bright and concise Jazz white marble serves as a backdrop, while the warm fishbone splicing pattern wooden floor adds a touch of fashion. The walls, made of cement and wood, create a contrast between cold and warm, adding artistic connotations to the space. Creative abstract paintings and intricate display details further enhance the overall aesthetic.

The design team, consisting of Jian Ding and Wenjing Wang, carefully divided the space based on the functional needs of the owners. By using hard and soft interfaces, they created distinct living areas for both male and female owners. This approach not only satisfies different aesthetic preferences but also ensures a smooth project progress.

The project, which started in July 2017 and finished in February 2018, was carried out in Hangzhou. Throughout the design process, the team conducted extensive research to integrate art into the family life atmosphere. The result is a space that exudes high-end taste and temperament, while also considering the structural characteristics and sensory experience.

Designing for high-end private owners presented its challenges, as balancing different aesthetic and functional needs was crucial. However, the team successfully achieved a harmonious blend of simplicity, brightness, and visual beauty. The use of indoor wall wood on a large scale enhances the overall aesthetic and creates a visually pleasing interior.

Greentown River has been recognized for its outstanding design and creativity. In 2019, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that incorporate best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to quality of life improvements.

With its Nordic-inspired elegance, artistic touches, and attention to detail, Greentown River stands as a testament to the beauty of modern residential design.
