The purpose of the greeting card is to congratulate and warm the heart, so the main vision is presented by hand-drawn illustrations. On the one hand, the hand-painted strokes have more temperature than the usual computer illustration, on the other hand, there is more fun and imagination with the hand-drawn greeting card. Handwritten fonts hope to make people feel earnestly and sincerity. After all, it’s a pleasure to make a hand-written greeting card instead of digital printing in this computer era.

The illustration on the greeting card is drawn with a technical pen. The designer carefully considered whether to use a human hand or a monkey's hand to get a banana. Ultimately, the decision was made to use a monkey's hand to take a banana, adding a playful element to the design. The handwritten fonts went through various iterations to determine that the designer's most basic and original handwriting was the most appropriate.

The greeting card content utilizes homonyms between languages to achieve fun. "Monkey Monkey Year" is derived from the pronunciation of Cantonese "good" - similar to the pronunciation of the Taiwanese word for "monkey" - and developed into the monkey year based on good years. With such a small interest, people will smile and achieve the purpose of blessing.

The greeting card measures 105mm in width and 148mm in height, printed on 240g paper. The design was completed in January 2016 and the printing was finished in February 2016. The inspiration for this design came from a desire to start the new year fresh and for everyone to live a good life, despite the challenges faced in the previous year.

This design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019. The award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. It is respected for integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings, and contributing to a better world.
