Two professional tattoo artists meticulously create the tattoo designs, using the artistic genre of tattooing to enhance the body's shape and form. One of the main challenges in creating the Inked Vest was choosing the right materials. The thickness of the leather had to be just right, not too thin to withstand the piercing of the tattoo needles, but not too thick to conform to the body. Extensive research was conducted to determine the ideal type of leather, needle, and ink to use, ensuring the vest's durability and comfort.

Adjustability was also a key consideration in the design process. The Inked Vest is produced in a unique size that can be easily adjusted to fit any body shape. This feature allows for a more accurate simulation of a tattooed body, as the vest can be laced tighter to create a snug fit.

The Inked Vest project began in June 2018 and was completed in January 2019 in Campinas, Sao Paulo. Throughout the design process, extensive research was conducted to understand the growing popularity of tattoos and how they can transform lives. The goal was to create a vest that would allow individuals to experience the aesthetic feeling of having a large tattoo without the commitment.

The Inked Vest has received recognition for its innovative design. In 2019, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Fashion, Apparel, and Garment Design category. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
