The Niannujiao/Jiaoding brand caters to women between the ages of 30 and 40, who exude a unique charm and are looking for a more balanced and natural lifestyle. The design team, led by Tomohiro Katsuki, recognized the different characteristics of the two brands and aimed to create a space that harmoniously combines their individual identities.
The key concept behind the design is "balanced neutral." The team explored the idea of balance without compromising the distinctiveness of each brand. From style and color to human flow and functionality, every aspect was carefully balanced to create a cohesive and inviting space.
The flagship store spans an area of 180 square meters and features materials such as white rectangles, gray slate tiles, bronze steel plating, clear mirrors, PVC wood sheets, and artificial terrazzo. The color palette includes white and pink, reflecting the feminine and elegant nature of the brands.
Opening its doors in September 2018, the Niannujiao Jiaoding Flagship Store offers a collection of products that resonate with people seeking simplicity and balance in their lives. The design team, including Masanori Kobayashi and Yao Di, ensured that the space reflects the brand's ethos and provides a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
The Niannujiao Jiaoding Flagship Store was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award recognizes the store's well-designed, practical, and innovative approach, meeting professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
With its balanced neutral design and thoughtful execution, the Niannujiao Jiaoding Flagship Store stands as a testament to the power of combining two distinct brands in a harmonious space.
