Posten Norge's visual branding, characterized by the prominent use of red in each image, is a testament to the power of minimalistic composition. The clean backdrop not only highlights the red element but also symbolizes Posten Norge's commitment to going great distances for their customers. The slight variation in the photography style for Bring, a company owned by Posten Norge, facilitates effective co-branding.
Specializing in visual branding and corporate photography, Copenhagen-based photographer Soren Nielsen was tasked with implementing Posten Norge's visual identity. His primary focus was on vehicles in urban and natural landscapes, as well as large indoor environments. The images, shot on location with a Hasselblad digital camera, showcase a part of the Scandinavian daily life, making the landscape an integral part of Posten Norge and Bring's DNA.
The project, which began in 2008, involved extensive travel and resulted in hundreds of images from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and The Netherlands. The process required many hours of location scouting and logistics planning, with each photo shoot often taking only half an hour due to the constraints of working on public roads. The challenge of moving large vehicles around on public roads, combined with changing weather conditions, added to the complexity of the project.
The images produced are part of Posten Norge and Bring's Image Bank and are regularly used to promote the company's values. This design was awarded Silver in A' Photography and Photo Manipulation Design Award in 2019, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation. The award recognizes top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
Despite the challenges, Soren Nielsen's dedication to visual branding and corporate photography shines through in this project. His work not only enhances Posten Norge's visual identity but also contributes significantly to the field of corporate photography. His unique approach to visual branding, characterized by minimalistic composition and a focus on vehicles in various landscapes, sets a new standard in the industry.
In conclusion, the visual branding of Posten Norge by Soren Nielsen is a remarkable example of how photography can be used to enhance a company's image and promote its values. The project's success, as evidenced by its Silver A' Design Award, is a testament to Nielsen's expertise and innovation in the field of corporate photography.
