Mobile Holder: A Functional and Artistic Solution

Supporting Comfort and Style

Mobile phones have become an integral part of modern life, leading to an increasing number of people constantly looking down at their screens. Recognizing this issue, designer Peng Su has created a mobile phone holder that not only provides convenience but also prevents the fatigue and strain on the spine caused by constant bending. With its unique design and functionality, this mobile holder offers a solution for comfortable and enjoyable phone usage anytime, anywhere.

The mobile phone holder designed by Peng Su stands out as a fun and literary DIY spelling work. It caters to the diverse needs of users by offering the best viewing angle and convenience. The design incorporates iconic landmarks of Xi'an, such as the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Bell Tower, and Guanzhong College, combining the beauty of Chang'an with the charm of these historical buildings. The professional patchwork design, hollowing technology, and intricate architectural graphics carving ensure the overall stability of the product.

One of the standout features of this mobile holder is its professional charging buckle settings and mobile phone anti-skid design, which provide both security and playfulness. The holder allows users to charge their phones without the need to remove them from the holder, saving time and space. Made from eucalyptus wood sourced from the northeastern regions of China, the holder boasts wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and fine wood grain. The packaging is also environmentally friendly, utilizing kraft paper boxes.

The mobile holder comes in two sizes: a small board measuring 8cm in length, 7cm in width, and 0.5cm in height, and a large wooden board measuring 14cm in length, 7cm in width, and 0.5cm in height. The packaging dimensions are 145cm in length, 77cm in width, and 1.4cm in height. These compact dimensions make it easy to carry and travel with.

When it comes to functionality, the mobile holder is simple to use. Two wooden cards are inserted into each other to form a staggered bracket, creating a slot to hold the mobile phone. The slot also features a charging port, allowing for direct charging. When not in use, the holder doubles as a beautiful desktop decoration, adding an artistic touch to any space.

The mobile holder project was launched in Xi'an in July 2015 and took three months to complete, from initial design and sample production to final product production. It was first listed in Chung Chi College in October 2015, gaining recognition for its unique visual effects and functionality. The design draws inspiration from traditional Chinese culture and architectural aesthetics, setting it apart from other modern mobile phone holders.

Peng Su's mobile holder has overcome various creative, technical, and research challenges. The combination of design and subsequent processes, along with the intricate carving work, required meticulous attention to detail. The embedded design, which allows for direct charging without removing the phone, adds convenience and space-saving functionality. The hollowing out method used in the design showcases the intricate details of the sculpture, enhancing its overall appeal.

With its professional craftsmanship, durability, and thoughtful features, this mobile holder provides necessary assistance in leisure, work, and study. Its environmentally friendly and portable design makes it an ideal companion for those on the go. Whether used as a functional tool or an artistic statement, this mobile holder offers a unique and stylish solution to enhance the mobile phone experience.
