Expressing Youth and Creativity in Multimedia Production

Thirteen International Cultural Media is a multimedia production company that encompasses TV programs, movies, cultural and creative development, and entertainment. With its diverse and creative approach, the company has gained an international perspective in the professional field. The visual design of the brand reflects the founders' vision of youth and creativity that perfectly aligns with the brand's essence.

During the brand launching meeting, Creator Strategic Marketing Co., Ltd aimed to create a brand name with a story and meaning, adding a spiritual symbol to the brand image. The decision to use the number 13 as the company name stemmed from its significant role during the business planning stage.

The strength and uniqueness of Thirteen International Cultural Media lie in its diverse range of creative industries and multimedia offerings. To capture this essence in the visual design, the team focused on the ideal company profile envisioned by the founders. The resulting design embodies the youth and creativity that best represents the brand.

The logo, based on the text "THIRTEEN," features hand-painted font strokes, emphasizing the brand's creativity, vitality, and neatness. The design incorporates the Arabic numeral 13, further enhancing the visual appeal. The use of black and gold as the main colors conveys the brand's expertise and international texture, combined with a youthful and energetic vibe.

The design realization process centered on the brand's image in the founders' minds and the number 13. Four key points were established for the brand design: youth, neatness, tension, and internationalization. The logo, with its hand-painted style, exudes unrestrained vitality and tension.

Branded products, such as envelopes and stationery, feature a cropped and enlarged logo, creating visual tension and reinforcing the brand's image. The Western-style envelope measures 215mm x 184mm, while the Chinese-style envelope measures 325mm x 247mm. The letter paper size is 210mm x 297mm.

The visual identity and space design of Thirteen International Cultural Media took nearly five months to complete, with the project spanning both Taipei and Taichung, Taiwan. Extensive research was conducted in the early stages, collecting relevant information and elements related to the multimedia industry. The design team analyzed visual designs from other studios and collaborated closely with the brand operation team to ensure the design elements aligned with the brand's unique spirit.

One of the challenges faced during the design process was finding a way to express the spirit and story of the brand beyond the elements of film and television multimedia. The initial design elements lacked uniqueness. To overcome this, the team shifted their focus to the founder's founding process, resulting in a design that perfectly captured the brand's ideal image.

Thirteen International Cultural Media's design has been recognized for its outstanding creativity and ingenuity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate resourcefulness, technical expertise, and contribute to improving the quality of life.
