Camillet: A Unique High Fashion Dress by Xavier Alexis Rosado

Xavier Alexis Rosado, a renowned fashion designer, has created a masterpiece that combines art, craftsmanship, and environmental consciousness. The upper part of the dress is made from the ixtle plant, also known as "agave lechuguilla," spun while still raw. Measuring at 1473.2mm in length, 533.4mm in width, and 2006.6mm in depth, Camillet is a true work of art. Its meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail make it a standout piece in the world of fashion.

The Camillet project began in June 2019 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, and was completed in September 2019 in Coamo, Puerto Rico. Throughout the process, Rosado conducted extensive research on natural fibers and braiding techniques. The goal was to incorporate these materials and techniques into the world of fashion, creating awareness and setting new trends.

Camillet has already received recognition for its exceptional design. In 2020, it was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Fashion, Apparel, and Garment Design category. This prestigious award is given to designs that meet professional and industrial requirements, showcasing innovation, practicality, and adherence to industry best practices.
