BSTN Raffle: A Sneaker Box Like No Other

Ralf Kauffmann's Limited Edition Design Marries Innovation and Artistry

The BSTN Raffle is not just another sneaker box. It's a product of creative genius, a testament to the power of design and innovation. Ralf Kauffmann, the mastermind behind this design, drew inspiration from the design of the Nike Air Max 90 New Species sneaker, particularly its light grey snake pattern, and Marvel heroes with animal elements. The result is a unique sneaker box that not only serves its purpose but also stands as a piece of art.

What sets the BSTN Raffle apart is its exclusivity. Only 25 of these were made available on the BSTN website, turning them into highly coveted collector's items. The design and production of such a special edition required an agency with vast experience - Brainartist. From the initial sketch to the final delivery, the project took four weeks, proving that creativity and efficiency can indeed go hand in hand.

The BSTN Raffle is a product of advanced technology. The figure was created using 3D printing, while the box was made from plastic and cardboard. The figure stands at 30cm, while the box measures 40cm. The packaging was designed to fit perfectly and was adorned with illustrations on a cardboard sleeve. This combination of technology and artistry is what makes the BSTN Raffle a standout design.

The project was not without its challenges. The tight timeline of six weeks from idea to delivery posed a significant hurdle. However, the design team, which included Martin Stüwe and Chris Maier, rose to the occasion, sketching and optimizing the figure in record time. They even designed a small comic with a story and produced the figure using 3D printing with high-quality packaging.

The BSTN Raffle's uniqueness and innovation have not gone unnoticed. It was awarded Silver in the A' Advertising, Marketing, and Communication Design Award in 2021. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and the BSTN Raffle certainly fits the bill.
