Shuxiangyuan Model Room: A Modern and Elegant Residential Design

Integrating Natural Elements and Traditional Culture

This unique design stands out for its pursuit of simplicity and exquisite expression. It showcases a concise, flexible, elegant, and restrained spatial temperament. One of the standout features is the wall of the guest restaurant, which presents 185 pieces of stainless steel wall bricks using techniques such as staggered lap joints and face knocking. This innovative approach breaks away from traditional home decoration norms, resulting in a novel and restrained aesthetic.

The Shuxiangyuan Model Room covers a total area of 222 square meters and utilizes a range of materials to bring the design to life. Stone, ceramic tiles, wood veneers, stainless steel, copper, mirrors, glass, leather, wall coverings, inorganic coatings, and plaster are all skillfully incorporated into the space, creating a harmonious and visually appealing environment.

The design team, led by Xiaohui Chen, faced several challenges during the realization of this project. The intricate ink texture on the living room wall and the detailed bamboo design on the second bedroom cabinet door were hand-painted on-site by skilled artists. This level of craftsmanship adds a unique touch to the overall design.

Located in Yuxi, the Shuxiangyuan Model Room project started in June 2020 and was completed in December 2020. Throughout the process, the design team focused on creating a space that reflects a unique artistic atmosphere in every detail. The wall textures and furniture patterns were carefully chosen to align with the overall tone of the space, resulting in a cohesive and visually captivating design.

The Shuxiangyuan Model Room has received recognition for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious award is a testament to the design's practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial requirements.
