Branding Identity

Find inspiration from the combination of paradox graphics and books. Paradox graphics represent both positive and negative views and an objective journalist attitude. Books represent knowledge and education. The combination of the two clearly expresses the connotation of journalism school.

The journalism school of Communication University of China is China's highest educational institution in journalism. As one of the journalism schools with profound influence in society, the establishment of a visual identity system contributes to up its brand value and image. The visual identification image design of the journalism school focuses on highlighting its journalism professional attributes and the education characteristic. The visual effects strive to be concise, modern, and reflect the professional connotation and the spirit of the journalism school.

The logo of the School of Journalism is made up of a paradoxical graph composed of two books that face different orientations. The books represent the knowledge that should be possessed by students majoring in journalism. The books facing different orientations but combined with each other imply that students in the journalism profession should hold an objective and fair job prospect and occupational attitude that considers positive and negative views. At the same time, this figure also resembles a nib, symbolizing the critical spirit and sharp writing skills.
