The store's design is inspired by the moon's surface, specifically its impact craters formed by ancient asteroid impacts. The store's interior design utilizes the rich color changes and texture variations of the same color paint to reflect the diversity and layering of paint products. This approach creates a warm, natural, and rustic atmosphere that contrasts with the typical colorful design of paint stores.

The store's unique properties lie in its harmonious and novel combination of functions. During the day, it operates as a café, offering coffee to its customers. At night, it transforms into a wine bar, while paint is available for sale throughout the day. This unusual combination creates a novel, science fiction, and romantic atmosphere that is full of novelty.

The design of the Dunn Paint Concept Store faced the creative challenge of blending a paint retail store and café into a cohesive space. The solution was to use a micro-cement solid color that continues from the floor to the wall, setting a unified tone for the space.
