The main living space of the apartment, including the living, dining, and bedroom areas, is strategically arranged to face the sea, offering uninterrupted views and promoting a sense of stillness away from the city noise. The rest of the program, such as the office space and service areas, is placed towards the opposite side.
What sets this design apart is the combination of two individual units into one, requiring a reconstruction of the space to seamlessly integrate the public, private, and service areas without compromising spaciousness or the sea view. The apartment features two master bedrooms, one kids bedroom, an open living and dining space, and an office space, all with continuous views of the Java Sea.
The realization of this design incorporates the use of luxury, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant materials that are both economical and easy to transport. For example, the stone wall behind the dining room is created using screed and special stone texture paint, reducing weight while maintaining practicality and ease of maintenance. The lighting system utilizes a magnetic light system, allowing users to customize their own light placement.
With a net area of 250 square meters, the apartment boasts two master bedrooms, one of which includes a private office, walk-in closet, vanity room, and a walk-in bathroom. Additionally, there is one kids bedroom, a spacious living and dining area with counter-table and kitchen sets, two powder rooms, two working wet kitchens, and a service area concealed behind camouflage panel doors.
The design of the apartment focuses on creating a seamless flow and sequence of spaces. Solid, transparent, camouflage, and translucent doors and partitions are strategically used to direct the flow and create a sense of progression. As one moves through the different spaces, they are treated to an extensive collection of displays, revealing unique design styles in each room, and culminating in a breathtaking 180-degree view of the sea from the edge of the curtainwall.
The Tranquil By The Sea design project was commenced in October 2021 and completed in October 2022. Throughout the process, the designers conducted thorough research to ensure the layout and materials emphasized the surrounding sea and created a sense of being immersed in an oceanic environment. The challenges of reorganizing the space to accommodate the desired programs and maintaining reasonable adjacency were overcome through a total reconstruction of MEP systems and careful placement of rooms.
With its stunning design and attention to detail, Tranquil By The Sea has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award honors designs that exhibit outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making the world a better place.
Experience the tranquility and luxury of Tranquil By The Sea, where the beauty of the ocean is seamlessly integrated into a sophisticated living space.
