Elevating Pizza-making to High Art

Monopizza is a pizzeria located in the UK that aims to elevate the process of pizza-making to the level of high art. The name "Monopizza" combines the words "Mona Lisa" and "pizza," reflecting the concept of blending art and cuisine. The company's logo also reflects this concept by combining the image of the Mona Lisa with an image of pizza.

The MonoPizza logo was produced with Adobe Illustrator CC 2022 and Adobe Photoshop CC 2022. It is developed on the basis of the monoline technique and regular graphic shapes. The artwork utilizes a minimalist style achieved through the use of only three colors that, when combined, create the necessary contrast and complete the composition. The final result creates a harmonious visual impression through the organic combination of the selected colors. The minimalist approach present in the artwork provides a clear and concise transmission of ideas, enhancing the viewer's focus on the main content.

The project started in April 2022, and work on the branding continues to this day. During the design process, the team faced various challenges, including finding the right balance between functionality and aesthetics. Incorporating historical and social perspectives into the design added another layer of complexity. Additionally, limitations in production capabilities required careful consideration of manufacturing processes and techniques to ensure that the final product could be successfully realized.

This Design was awarded Bronze in A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award in 2023.
