Hepalink: Pioneering Bio-Pharmaceutical Industrial Park

Shenzhen's Hepalink Park Merges Innovation with Functionality

In the bustling district of Pingshan, Shenzhen, a new landmark rises. Hepalink Industrial Park, designed by the visionary team of Zhong Zhong, Tan Weining, and Zhong Botao, is redefining the bio-pharmaceutical landscape with its state-of-the-art modular design and multifunctional adaptability.

Strategically positioned along Pingshan's Modern Industry Development Axis, Hepalink Industrial Park serves as a vital connector between Pingshan and Huizhou. This sprawling 20.48-hectare campus is divided into two main sections, creating the largest bio-pharmaceutical industrial park in the district. The design inspiration stems from its pivotal location and the burgeoning need for innovation in the bio-pharmaceutical sector.

The design's unique properties lie in its modular column grids and standardized floor heights, which ensure the park's adaptability for various future needs. The architectural design is a testament to practicality, featuring independent functions, shared resources, and a thoughtful separation of people and goods flow. The buildings' north-south orientation maximizes natural light and energy efficiency, reflecting the team's commitment to sustainable design principles.

Realization of this ambitious project was achieved through meticulous planning and cutting-edge modular design technology. The office, factory, and dormitory buildings are constructed with precise modular grids and standardized floor heights of 4.5m, 3.6m, and 3.3m, respectively. The design also reserves space for essential utilities, ensuring the park's readiness for future technological advancements and multifunctional use.

The technical specifications of Hepalink are impressive, with a total land area of 27,822.03 sqm and a building area of 81,874.43 sqm. The project boasts a floor area ratio of 2.23, a building coverage rate of 25.9%, and a green space rate of 14.3%. The design team's attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the park's construction, from the layout of the buildings to the integration of green spaces.

Hepalink's design is not just about aesthetics; it's about interaction and functionality. The park comprises production factories, research and development offices, staff dormitories, and supporting commercial facilities. Its modular and standardized design approach ensures that the park can adapt to the ever-changing demands of the bio-pharmaceutical industry. The design team's foresight in planning for multifunctional spaces positions Hepalink as a model for future industrial park developments.

From its inception in January 2018 to its completion in August 2022, Hepalink has overcome significant challenges. It stands as a beacon of innovation, embodying the spirit of adaptability and specialization. This project's success is recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in Construction and Real Estate Projects for 2024, highlighting its practical, innovative, and industry-aligned design. Hepalink Industrial Park is not just a construction; it's a symbol of progress in the bio-pharmaceutical industry and a contributor to a better world.
