The Empress is not just a ring, but an art object. The design process required a unique approach to reflect the greatness of the Empress's spirit and the suffering she endured. The choice of stone was crucial to the design. The designers chose a pyrope, a stone of fantastic beauty that brings grandeur and solemnity, mirroring the essence of the Empress herself.
The ring's design is influenced by avant-garde architecture, blending cultures and spatial forms to create an abstract composition while maintaining elegance. The ring is made of yellow gold 18 K, with an original pyrope grinding - 17.41cts. Diamonds of 1.8 mm are inserted in a platinum plate, emphasizing the main game stone.
The creation of The Empress was a meticulous process. The designers faced the challenge of repeated soldering of individual elements, requiring the use of different temperature regimes. The ring is designed to be worn on the three middle fingers, and despite its large size, it does not cause discomfort to the wearer.
The project originated in November 2011, with the search for the necessary material and grinding stones conducted throughout 2012. The ring was completed on March 28, 2013, and first presented at the exhibition at the National Art Museum in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on April 15, 2013.
The Empress is a testament to the power of design to tell stories and evoke emotions. The ring is not just a piece of jewelry, but a reflection of the status of the owner and their unique life destiny. It is a piece of art that reflects the grandeur and solemnity of its inspiration, Empress Alexandra Feodorovna.
The Empress was awarded the Golden A' Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design Award in 2014, a testament to its outstanding design and the prodigy and wisdom of its designers, Victor A. Syrnev and Tom Munsteiner. This award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
