Eatzi Cafe Around-the-Clock Restaurant: A Tranquil and Lively Dining Experience

The restaurant's 2-level void structure is filled with a breathtaking view of the lake, allowing guests to feast their eyes on the beautiful surroundings. The interior of the restaurant is predominantly made of natural woods, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Luminous wall tops provide ample lighting, while a ceiling mirror etched with classic patterns adds a touch of elegance.

The walls are adorned with metal mosaic patterns and colored glass stones, creating a vibrant and invigorating ambiance. The tropical rainforest marbles used for the table tops echo the annual rings of the wood on the long table, further enhancing the natural scenery. Carved wall stones with rippling water patterns seamlessly connect the lobby with the restaurant, creating a harmonious transition between the interior and exterior environments.

The restaurant's S-shaped comfortable seats not only provide a unique design feature but also highlight the water theme. The specially designed balcony offers a bird's-eye view of the lake, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the surroundings. Combined with the diverse menu, the great lake view evokes a sense of expansiveness and enjoyment inspired by nature.

Throughout the design process, Ivan Cheng paid close attention to every detail, ensuring that the restaurant not only met the client's expectations but also incorporated sustainable and environmentally-friendly features. The result is a space that not only serves as a place to enjoy delicious cuisine but also as a resort-like getaway for guests to relax and unwind.

The Eatzi Cafe Around-the-Clock Restaurant project was initiated in February 2010 and completed in July 2011 in Qiandao Lake, Hangzhou. Despite the tight schedule, Ivan Cheng's passion for design and his ability to capture the essence of the restaurant's concept allowed for the successful completion of the project within a short timeframe.

This exceptional design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2014. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity and ingenuity, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. The Eatzi Cafe Around-the-Clock Restaurant is a testament to Ivan Cheng's technical and creative skills, contributing to an improved quality of life for its guests.
