Creating a Living Space Full of Light and Transparency

The inspiration for EXEN Istanbul came from the transparency of the facade, which led the designers to create transparent or joint-functioned spaces inside the house. The aim was to find the perfect balance between functionality and style, resulting in a living space that is full of light and transparency without sacrificing privacy.

The show flat features integrated sitting and dining areas that are slightly separated from each other by using different materials on the floor. This design choice creates a contemporary and elegant look, adding to the overall aesthetic appeal of the space. The color scheme of gray, mink, and white was chosen to address the majority and create a neutral backdrop for potential buyers.

With a total area of 180 m² and a living space of 65 m², EXEN Istanbul offers ample room for comfortable living. The design allows for an abundance of natural light, creating a feeling of airiness throughout the flat. The use of natural materials such as marble and wood adds warmth and sophistication to the overall design.

Designing a show home requires careful consideration of materials, colors, and functionality. The goal is to make guests feel at home and help them imagine themselves living in the space. Gonye Proje Tasarim achieved this by selecting the right materials and colors that create a modern and warm ambiance. The result is an elegant and functional design that presents a different perspective from everyday life.

The EXEN Istanbul project started in September 2013 and was completed in December 2013 in Istanbul. Throughout the design process, extensive research was conducted on materials to ensure comfort, durability, availability, and environmental friendliness. The challenge of incorporating large columns, concrete walls, and mechanical shafts was overcome through focused and detailed planning, resulting in a seamless and visually appealing final design.

EXEN Istanbul's innovative and functional design has been recognized with the prestigious A' Design Award in 2014. This award acknowledges the well-designed, practical, and innovative nature of the show flat, which meets professional and industrial requirements.
