View Meditation: A Sustainable and Innovative Bivouac Design

The View Meditation bivouac stands out from other designs due to its minimalistic yet comfortable approach. The structure is shaped like an inverted "U" with a variable section, gradually increasing towards the head. The interior floor features a raised platform, allowing anyone inside to enjoy a panoramic view through a large window.

Constructed using prefabricated wooden panels, the bivouac is not only environmentally friendly but also easily transportable. The structure can be coated with metal walls of various colors, seamlessly blending with the surrounding environment. The insulation of the bivouac utilizes recycled materials such as wood wool, ensuring proper thermal insulation. The interior is adorned with horizontal wooden slats, while the exterior is covered with zinc-titanium plates, providing durability and resistance to dirt and chemical attacks.

Energy self-sufficiency is achieved through solar panels on the roof, providing power for interior lighting, kitchen appliances, and water heating. Rainwater is collected and purified for drinking or used directly in the kitchen and bathroom. Waste disposal is managed through a removable storage tank, allowing for easy cleaning and maintenance.

The View Meditation bivouac measures approximately 45m3, with dimensions of 3.16m (smaller side), 11.46m (longer side), and a height ranging from 2.15m to 3.60m. Its compact size and versatility make it suitable for various terrains and locations.

This innovative design has garnered recognition and was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2015.
