With the increasing threat to animal life and their habitats, it is crucial to raise awareness and encourage people to protect these precious creatures. The illustrations in this series serve as a call to action, reminding us of the importance of preserving the natural world.

The use of computer graphics in the form of painting allows for a dynamic and vivid portrayal of the animals. Created in 2015 in Shenyang, China, this project reflects the extensive research conducted by the designers. They were inspired by news reports highlighting the alarming rate of animal killings and the urgent need for protection. By merging animals with clouds, the designers aim to convey the idea that protecting animals ensures their existence, while neglecting them can lead to their disappearance.

The challenges faced during the creation of these illustrations were twofold. Firstly, the artists had to find a balance between portraying the animals realistically and integrating them seamlessly with the clouds. Secondly, they had to capture the animals' movement and beauty in a way that would captivate viewers.

Recognized for their creativity and ingenuity, Kai Huo & Liu Yang's "Life" series was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2016.
