Sinchaman: A Heroic Brand Identity for Car Rental Services

Creating a Strong Recognition and Favorable Impression

Sinchaman, a small-scale car lease and rental service brand, has successfully established a strong brand identity that sets it apart in the competitive market. Designed by Donggyun Kang and his team, Sinchaman's corporate identity embodies the qualities of honesty, trust, and quickness, symbolizing the brand's commitment to providing exceptional service to its customers.

Inspired by the recognition that many heroes are identified by their symbols, Sinchaman sought to create a symbol that would enable people to recognize and remember the brand easily. The design team incorporated illustrations that symbolize honesty, trust, and power of quickness, along with motifs that represent the halo effect associated with heroes. The use of cool blue line colors, icons, symbols, and typography further reinforce the pride and mindset of Sinchaman.

One of the key challenges faced by Sinchaman was the saturated market and the dominance of large companies. To successfully enter the market and establish itself as a new brand, Sinchaman needed to implant strong recognition and a favorable impression in customers' minds. The team realized that building a cohesive brand image, from naming to identity, was crucial.

The unique properties of Sinchaman's design lie in its consistent communication of design elements across various contact media, both online and offline. This creates a unique brand experience that only Sinchaman can offer. The brand's interaction with customers is characterized by a kind and bright approach, providing guidance through the complicated procedures of car rental services. Sinchaman believes that honest quotations and sincere customer service are the fastest way to build trust and loyalty.

The Sinchaman project began in December 2018 and was completed in March 2019 in the Republic of Korea. The design team, led by Donggyun Kang and supported by a talented group of individuals, including Yangji Kim, Saea Kang, Jeesun Yim, Heejin Um, Habin Ku, Inhwa Song, and Yumin Kim, worked diligently to overcome creative, technical, and research challenges. Their goal was to create a brand that would stand out in a market overwhelmed with information.

The exceptional design of Sinchaman has been recognized and awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and technical excellence, contributing to improvements in quality of life.

Sinchaman's brand identity serves as a testament to the power of design in establishing a strong and memorable presence in a competitive market. Through its heroic imagery and commitment to exceptional service, Sinchaman has positioned itself as a brand that customers can trust and rely on in the confusing world of car rental services.
