Omdesign's Award-Winning Book Celebrates Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo's Legacy

Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2001, is not just a vineyard; it is a place where tradition, prestige, and innovation coexist. The estate has been owned by the Amorim Group, a world leader in cork production, since 1999. The book, designed to reflect the estate's rich history and diverse business areas, including wine, wine tourism, and cuisine, is a testament to the estate's enduring legacy.

What sets '250 years of stories' apart is its minimalist layout and premium quality. The book is a gold-embossed hardcover with bas-relief and varnish finishes, reflecting the brand's values and premium quality. It measures 310 mm in width, 20 mm in depth, and 250 mm in height, making it a substantial and impressive piece.

The book's design and production were handled by Omdesign, who chose a differentiating format to tell the estate's unique story. A careful selection of photographs illustrates the book, portraying short stories that reflect the values and details that mirror the essence of Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo.

The project, which started in April 2014 and finished in October of the same year in Porto, Portugal, faced several challenges. The main challenge was to fuse a minimalist layout with the appropriate finishes to represent the brand's values and premium quality. However, Omdesign successfully overcame these challenges, resulting in a book that not only tells a story but is also a piece of art in itself.

The book was awarded the Golden A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award in 2017, a prestigious accolade granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom.
