Baguio Villa: A Nostalgic Blend of American Wildness and Metropolitan Glamour

Facing the spacious landscape living area upon entering the house, one is immediately captivated by the exceptional wine hanging system. Using vermillion red leather ropes, this installation showcases the character of the occupant and serves as a striking art piece. Parallel to this, a vibrant oil painting injects energy into the dining room, featuring the colors and features of a female facial close-up in the style of the "American good old days."

The dining room is highlighted by a black and white diamond-patterned floor that extends to the kitchen, creating a dynamic space accentuated by mirror ceilings. A unique hexagonal carpet, matching the tone of whiskey with orange garnish, subtly synchronizes with an industrial wooden cabinet behind the sofa.

The bar area provides a private zone for the owner and guests to enjoy wines and spirits. With a high table, red brick wall, and an orange leather sofa, it adds a touch of spice to the overall design. Steps along the corridor floor celebrate geometry, leading to the dining table and long chairs made of oak. The bold mix of white patent leather high chairs and neon decorative lights on the cement wall creates a strong contrast that harmonizes with other zones of the home.

The house features profiled "H" iron decorations in black placed on the ceiling, making a strong statement in every transition between different zones. These decorations, along with colorful collages, distract from the awkward locations of the washroom doors, adding an element of intrigue and surprise.

Baguio Villa was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2017. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that incorporate best practices in art, science, design, and technology.
