Zi Huai Shen's Innovative Design Approach Transforms Salon Perception

In the world of beauty and fashion, salons are often seen as mere haircut places. Zi Huai Shen, with his innovative design approach, has challenged this perception by creating a unique brand identity for "Have Salon". This design, which has won the prestigious Silver A' Design Award, is a testament to the power of creative thinking and design in transforming mundane experiences into extraordinary ones.

Zi Huai Shen's inspiration for the design came from the customer's requirements. They wanted the salon to be more than just a place for haircuts. The concept of 3D space was used, hiding "solid geometry" and "time" inside the arrow of the logo. This symbolizes the multifunctionality within limited space and a feeling of 3D in the line of time. The logo design encapsulates the initial idea of making guests from different fields enjoy both the service and the environment.

The unique property of the "Have Salon" design is its bidirectional arrow logo. It represents "outstanding, advanced, and leading", indicating the ambition to reach the top of the world and lead the fashion trend. The lines of the logo gather in the middle and expand to different directions, fully showcasing the brand's features. The tidy geometric straight lines in the logo represent the variety of different styles, despite the uniformity.

The design realization technology includes invitations, posters, bags, commercial space planning, and web design. The technical specifications of the design include various dimensions for paper handbags, business cards, and invitation cards. The brand identity design is the key design tag.

The design interaction involves creating a space where people can share their tastes through art space, fashion design, and a variety of creations. The "time" in the middle of the logo, shaped like a pair of scissors, signifies the wonderful moment customers enjoy when getting a new hairstyle. The project started in July 2016 in Taiwan and was completed in September 2016.

Underlying research for the design revealed that most hair salons are perceived as barber places. This inspired the idea to plan a space with diverse styles in the field of hair salons in Taiwan for the first time. By continuously innovating, a diverse salon was created, where customers and designers with different cultures and living styles can share their thoughts.

The design of the logo explains the initial idea of making guests from different fields enjoy both the service and the environment. The concept of 3D space is used, hiding "solid geometry" and "time" inside the arrow. The design was awarded Silver in A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award in 2017, showcasing its remarkable level of excellence and introducing positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
